Christmas is a time for families and friends to gather and celebrate but it is also when we think of those who are not with us any more. This concert, started with the Faure Requiem and was followed by traditional carols and seasonal music making a contemplative start to Christmas. It was the Society's first performance under the musical direction of Ben Noble.
The concert was held in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary's Church Richmond on Saturday 7th December 2024 at 7.30pm.
Our final concert of the 2025-26 season is on Saturday 2nd MAY. The main work is Howard Goodall's Eternal Light, his tuneful and accessible requiem for a young person. Howard Goodall CBE is one of Britain's best-known composers of choral music, stage musicals, TV and film scores.
Alongside this is a selection of popular opera choruses and Goodall's well known theme to The Vicar of Dibley as well as entertainment by our three soloists. Part of Richmond MayFest.
