Edward's Song Cycle

Dear Friends,

I hope this email finds you well and eagerly anticipating the beginning of a new season.

I thought I would write to share an update on our cycling and singing expedition this summer which you all so generously supported.

John and I completed the challenge of 200 miles cycling  and 4 recitals in 5 days (in fact several wrong turns took us well over 200 miles!). We came through unscathed, tired, incredibly fulfilled and a lot fitter! It also gave us an opportunity to remember mum together, and for that I am very grateful. It was lovely to see so many of you at several of the concerts; how kind of you to make such a journey. We are also indebted to those who cycled with us, without whom, the challenge may well not have been accomplished!

So far our Just Giving page totals over £7000, £1000 of which was concert takings. We also have had several businesses take an interest in our endeavour and, after their donations, the total monies raised could achieve up to £12,000.

John and I would like to thank you so very much for your kind and generous donations to this amazing cause. How lucky we are to have your support and friendship.

With my very best wishes to you all.

Alongside this is a selection of popular opera choruses and Goodall's well known theme to The Vicar of Dibley as well as entertainment by our three soloists. Part of Richmond MayFest.

We look forward to seeing you at St Mary's Church, Richmond.
