As a part of Richmond MayFest 2025, Richmondshire Choral Society (RCS) is inviting any singers, regardless of experience, to join us in a Come & Sing Messiah performance of selected choruses and favourite arias in St. Mary’s Church, Richmond on Saturday 3 May.

What to expect
11.30 - 1pm The day will commence in St. Mary’s Church with a vocal technique and Messiah Workshop led by Valerie Danby, opera and concert soloist and the first opera singer to perform on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury. Bring a packed lunch and drinks.
2pm-5pm will be a rehearsal with soloists and RCS musical director Ben Noble. The performance will commence at 7.30pm.
Choir dress is optional.
How to join
Places can be booked through Ticket Source (a Ticket Source booking fee of £1.17 is applied) using the link below or by attending the pre-rehearsals (see below). The cost of the day for non RCS members is £15.00.
Pre-rehearsals - Singers are also most welcome to join Richmondshire Choral Society rehearsals for Messiah on Monday 7, 14 & 28 April in the Methodist Church, Dundas Street, Richmond at 7.30pm. Scores will be available.
Come and hear
Audience tickets for the performance will be £10.00 for those in DL9,10 & 11, £12.00 for others and £3.00 for those under 18. These are available through Ticket Source using the link below. There is a Ticket Source booking fee of £1.17. Audience tickets are available from choir members, Neeps & Tatties in Richmond, or on the door.
